Five city teams, a December start in the UAE, and one finished season back in 2018. The rest is still being written.
2018 club
Kabul Zwanan reached the 2018 final and lost it, but still owned several of the tournament's signature performances. Rashid Khan captained the side and was named player of the series. They finished third in the league with four wins, beat Paktia Panthers in the semi-final, and then lost the final to Balkh Legends.
Zwanan ended the league on 8 points from four wins and four defeats, at a net run rate of −0.070. Their best night with the bat came on 9 October against Nangarhar Leopards, when Hazratullah Zazai scored 124 and put on 144 with Luke Ronchi in a chase of 189 that Zwanan won by seven wickets. They also opened the tournament with a win, chasing Paktia Panthers' 218 for 4 with 220 for 7.
The semi-final on 20 October was comfortable: Zwanan made 192 for 9 and bowled Paktia Panthers out for 102, winning by 90 runs. The final the next day went the other way. Zwanan won the toss and chose to bat, reaching 132 for 9, with Javed Ahmadi top-scoring on 32; Qais Ahmad's 5 for 18 broke the innings, and though Wayne Parnell took 3 for 35 in the chase, Gayle finished it. Zwanan are not Akcel United Kabul, and Rashid Khan's 2026 captaincy sits at Kandahar Warriors — the 2018 result belongs to this club separately.

The armbands are settled. The XIs around them are not. That is the actual story.
Until December there is only one record book, and it is short enough to memorise.
