Editorial policy

A fact gets a sentence when a source will carry it. Everything else is labelled to be confirmed, or it is left out.

What APL T20 League publishes

Names, dates, scores and rules come from the Afghanistan Cricket Board, the official APL site, ESPNcricinfo, and the published record of the 2018 tournament. A second-hand August report can be mentioned as a report. It does not become an “owner” line in a facts box if a later Cricinfo piece says the board has not announced owners.

What APL T20 League does not publish

Invented fixtures, guessed broadcasters, estimated six counts, and 2018 titles pasted onto 2026 clubs. A thin page that exists only to rank for a keyword is not a page we want. If the sources are too thin, the page says so in a callout instead of padding.

APL corrections and updates

Data-heavy pages show a last-updated date. When the draft list, the fixture grid or a TV deal is published, those pages change and the date changes with them. Send a correction through the contact page. If we got a number wrong, we would rather fix it than defend it.

APL T20 League voice and help

Pages are edited to read like a person who has sat through a T20, not like a template. Software assists with structure and first drafts the way a notebook does. It does not get to invent a score. The byline stays with Saleem Sial because the decision to print or withhold a fact is an editor’s decision.

How often APL T20 League updates

During the season, results and the table should move when a match is over and a source has the card. Out of season, the site moves when the board moves: a captain, a venue, a rule. It does not move for the sake of a clock.
